Week two of my heartfelt post. The snail mail type post, so tangible and good to hold. I am amazed that the romantic powers that are Australia Post ensured my Love Letter Tuesday arrived on a hot steamy Tuesday.
A griffin posted it to me, how his scaly talons did hold the pen to write my address or how his serpentine tongue did lick the stamp I do not know.
My cousin once had the Griffin and Sabine books when we were kids. I loved them, they seemed to be real letters that came wonderfully packed with stamps and drawings and ink stains, and they were there for me to read. Someone elses private little world of notes.
So I am sitting up in the dreadful heat writing a languid letter of love to return the dear favour.
Maybe next Tuesday the postman will bring me another creamy envelope bearing delightful sentences dressed up in flowery prose and rhyming couplets.
At least on Tuesday anyway …

I kiss the cold, white envelope
I press my lips against her name
Two hundred words. We live in hope
The sky hangs heavy with rain

Truly Heartfelt indeed…My Italian isn’t much of a writer, so I have little hopes there, but I’m counting on good cooking!Who knows…Spicy wishes, (And keep an eye on that mailbox…)K.PilliPilli Handmade
I think it’s so great mail art is coming back. Luckily some of my friends still actually send me letters and postcards (although we chat on msn everyday and some live just an hour away from me). That love letter is so pretty.**
Glad you liked it. Yes the pen is tricky to hold, but I have a evolved a technique that makes it easier. Claws don’t get in the way because they are retractable, but the swish of my tail on the floor to keep time to the music of the spheres was a tad distracting…
The I love you heart is so great.
I love that letterbox, love letters only,,, if only the posties would take notice!! xx
wonderful. love letters are the epitome of romance and mystery. you capture that here.xxchloe
I really miss the time when we used to hand write letters, the oy you felt when you looked on your mailbox and there was something for you!
