Told you Tuesday was Love Letter Tuesday

Week two of my heartfelt post.  The snail mail type post, so tangible and good to hold.  I am amazed that the romantic powers that are Australia Post ensured my Love Letter Tuesday arrived on a hot steamy Tuesday.

A griffin posted it to me, how his scaly talons did hold the pen to write my address or how his serpentine tongue did lick the stamp I do not know.
My cousin once had the Griffin and Sabine books when we were kids.  I loved them, they seemed to be real letters that came wonderfully packed with stamps and drawings and ink stains, and they were there for me to read.  Someone elses private little world of notes.

So I am sitting up in the dreadful heat writing a languid letter of love to return the dear favour.

Maybe next Tuesday the postman will bring me another creamy envelope bearing delightful sentences dressed up in flowery prose and rhyming couplets.

At least on Tuesday anyway

waiting for a love letter … Liad Cohen at Lomography
I kiss the cold, white envelope
I press my lips against her name
Two hundred words. We live in hope
The sky hangs heavy with rain
